Kinkaku-ji, Japan

日本へようこそ Welcome to Japan :D ...................

Kinkaku-ji is one of Kyoto's leading temples. Its formal name is Rokuon-ji. It was built at the end of the 14th century originally as a villa for Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the shogun at the time. After Yoshimitsu's death, as indicated in his will, the building was converted into a temple of the Zen sect of Buddhism, which is famous for the practice of zazen, or religious meditation (a major method of Buddhist training, and method of meditation for establishing one's foundation in Zen Buddhism). The shining Kinkaku ("Golden Pavilion") is a symbol of Kyoto. This temple has been burnt down many times in the flames of war and other conflagrations, and more recently by arson, which incident has been made famous by Yukio Mishima's novel, Kinkakuji (The Temple of the Golden Pavilion).

The garden is designed to provide a view of different scenes while walking around a large pond called Kyoko-chi in its center, and accounts for about 93,000 of the 132,000 square meter temple grounds. The Kyoko-chi Pond alone takes up 60,600 square meters and includes islands of various sizes such as Naka-jima and Iwa-jima. There are also rocks and stones of unusual shapes. These islands have different shapes depending on the angle from which they are seen. The scene viewed from the Sekka-tei Cottage at the back of the hill is particularly impressive. The reflection of the golden pavilion on the water is also striking.

Hot Water Beach, New Zealand

Its time for Sun.... Sea.... Sand ^_^

Hot Water Beach is a beach on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, approximately 12 kilometres south east of Whitianga, and approximately 175 kilometres from Auckland by car. Its name comes from underground hot springs which filter up through the sand between the high and low water tidal reaches.

Naturally heated mineral water bubbles up from deep within the earth to emerge through the sand.

Near the rocks at the southern end of the beach you can dig your own spa pool in the sand. Dig up to two hours either side of low tide – that's when the tide is low enough to expose the area of sand with hot water underneath. It's a strange but very pleasant feeling to be lying in a pool of hot water just metres from the refreshing sea.
If you have a spade or shovel, bring it with you. Otherwise you can hire one from the local cafes.
From the hot water area, the long sandy beach stretches north and curves east under a headland. Here you'll find sheltered and secluded spots for quiet, sleepy sunbathing.
For surfers, Hot Water Beach has good beach breaks in moderate easterly swells, however the presence of strong undertows means this beach is often dangerous for swimming.

  Sand Time !! :D

Ha Tien ,Viatnam

# Travels are getting better this year...make a move to Vietnam to enjoy its unique town #

Ha Tien is a small town in Kien Giang Province, in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam, 93 km from Rạch Giá city. Ha Tien is a tourist site of the region thanks to its beaches and landscape.

Things are changing fast as this little stretch of the Gulf of Thailand gets plugged into the travel network. The opening of a border crossing to Cambodia in 2008 has connected Ha Tien with Cambodia's quaint southern coastal towns of Kep and Kampot. The commencement of daily ferry services between Phu Quoc Island and Ha Tien has created further interest in this new cross border itinerary to Cambodia's southern coast.

Ha Tien's new lease of tourism life looks likely to grow. And this surprisingly agreeable small town is more than just a convenient transit point. It's easy to fill a day here visiting Ha Tien's pleasant if imperfect Mui Nai beach and some interesting historical sights.

I promise you it will be a great adventure.... Ha Tien...
